1. Senior Accountant and Payroll Specialist | New York, NY
Summary
Carhartt WIP North America is seeking a hands-on and experienced Senior Accountant and Payroll Specialist to oversee Accounts Payable (AP), Inventory, and Payroll functions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and is excited to help build, formalize, and scale accounting processes as the business continues to grow. In addition to managing day-to-day operations, this individual will play a key role in strengthening internal controls, improving data integrity, and enhancing compliance across financial processes, while partnering closely with cross-functional teams.
Core Responsibilities
Finance 70%
- Manage invoice and payroll processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliations.
- Oversee vendor onboarding and master data, including verification of banking details and required documentation (e.g., W-9s).
- Implement in coordination with the Head of Finance and the other Senior Accountant, the AP policy and related internal controls.
- Collaborate with operations and other teams to drive adoption of best practices and compliant processes.
- Monitor AP aging reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Strengthen and formalize accounting processes, particularly across AP, vendor management, and transactional workflows.
- Support indirect tax compliance (e.g., sales tax) in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee and process North American payroll to ensure timely and accurate execution of all pre- and post-payroll activities, including data validation, payroll adjustments, compliance reporting, and coordination with HR on employee changes and benefits.
- Partner with the Head of Finance to automate the AP process through the implementation of a purchase order workflow and AP automation tool.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy of AP accruals.
- Ensure the following cycles are fully reconciled each month: Accounts Payable, Inventory, Prepaid Expenses, Equity, Loans, and Intercompany Payables.
- Prepare AP-related reports and analysis for management.
- Assist with group financial and sustainability reporting requirements.
Payroll 30%
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for salaried and hourly employees across the U.S. and Canada, including new hire setup, expense reimbursements, tax jurisdiction configuration, state/provincial agency registrations, setup and management of wage garnishments, and 401(k) funding.
- Lead quarterly and year-end payroll activities, including W-2 and T4 preparation and reconciliation, in partnership with Human Resources.
- Support and ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable federal, state/provincial, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Establish and oversee payroll controls and perform regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of payroll data in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Manage system updates and changes within and related to payroll platforms.
- Maintain accurate documentation of payroll processes.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies aligned with payroll best practices.
- Handle payroll-related reporting requests from both local and global teams and stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including AP ownership; audit experience a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), POS platforms (Shopify a plus), payroll systems (ADP RUN a plus), and HRIS tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High integrity, professionalism, and discretion. Absolute trustworthiness, discretion, and commitment are essential.

2. Technical Product Manager, Operations | New York, NY
Summary
The Technical Product Manager, Operations will be responsible for back-end digital workflows and system integrations for our North American D2C business. This role requires deep Shopify expertise, technical fluency (APIs, data flows), and experience in headless architectures. You will support digital innovation initiatives - including AI automation and Agentic Commerce - to scale operations and ensure seamless multichannel performance. This role offers a technical product manager the autonomy to lead a core operational area, leveraging technology and AI to maximize efficiency and to scale our digital operations to meet evolving business needs. The role is based in New York with an in-office presence required Tuesday through Thursday, reporting to the Head of Ecommerce.
Core Responsibilities
D2C Digital Operations & Omnichannel
- Shopify & Omnichannel Operations: Own and evolve all back-end functions for Ecommerce & Retail. Manage catalog & inventory synchronization, store configurations (e.g. shipping, markets, payment providers), Shopify POS app version releases and system updates.
- Systems & Integrations: Maintain critical D2C systems and syncs (ERP, PIM, CDN, CRM, Merchandising, Feeds, and Automations). Manage related third-party SaaS technology vendor relationships.
- Product Catalog Ownership & Lifecycle Management: Own the end-to-end Shopify catalog lifecycle, from initial ingestion and seasonal launches to ongoing updates and end-of-life archiving.
- Issue Resolution: Lead cross-functional troubleshooting across Ecommerce, Retail, Customer Service, Logistics, IT, and Omnichannel teams to maintain high performance and data accuracy.
- Launch & Execution: Oversee digital launches and high-volume periods (e.g., collaborations & BFCM), ensuring stock readiness and risk mitigation. Work closely with the Digital/E-commerce team to support site deployments and promotional execution.
- Optimization: Stay current on platform updates and apply knowledge of basic retail economics to provide performance-focused recommendations.
- Innovation: Support Agentic Commerce and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) initiatives.
Technical Product Management
- DevOps & Headless: Serve as internal DevOps specialist for our headless storefront; oversee deployment cycles and incident response in partnership with third-party developers & Digital Product Manager.
- Technical Collaboration: Partner with the Digital Product Manager and external engineers to translate business requirements into technical documentation and site optimizations.
- AI & Automation: Apply a software engineering mindset to eliminate manual work and accelerate cycles through AI adoption and low-code tools.

Skills and Qualifications

3. Retail Performance Manager | New York, NY
Summary
The Retail Performance Manager is responsible for the successful operation and performance of Carhartt WIP’s North American brick & mortar retail store locations. Responsible for sales strategy and visual merchandising with a particular focus on talent management, training and development, and customer experience. This role will require 30% travel to our retail store locations and will require you to work in-store 50% of your time. Weekend hours are required. This role will report to the General Manager - North America.
Core Responsibilities
- Drive and maximize sales performance to consistently achieve budget objectives through strategic initiatives, partnering with General Manager and Finance on forecasting and expense planning by store.
- Analyze KPIs, client data, sell-through, and key metrics by door to identify trends, opportunities, and inform business decisions.
- Conduct regular store visits to review performance, assess visual merchandising execution, and ensure compliance with brand service protocols.
- Work with Retail Operations Manager to ensure consistent adherence to operational standards including inventory accuracy, presentation, and loss prevention.
